MOUNTED CHAIN HARROW SALES

All our mounted chain harrows are manufactured in the UK using British steel and have heavy duty 13mm tines.

These chain harrows can only be used with tractors with hydraulic 3 point linkage.

We supply our mounted chain harrows in two depths:

• Semi-Professional 4ft Single Depth Chain Harrows
  Single depth 4ft mat. This is available in 4ft, 8ft and 12ft. 

 

• Professional 8ft Double Depth Chain Harrows
  Double depth 8ft deep harrow comprising of 2 x 4ft deep mats. This is available in 4,6 ,8, (reversible) and 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20ft widths.

Semi Professional 4ft Single Depth Mounted Chain Harrow

The Semi Professional 4ft Single Depth Mounted Chain Harrow is purchased with one centre 4ft x 4ft frame complete with A frame and mat.

To make an 8ft you would be supplied with two extra 2ft wings and an extra mat.

To make a 12ft you would have the centre frame, 2 x 4ft wings and 3 x 4ft mats.

You can always increase the width of your mounted chain harrow by simply adding wings and mats. These 8ft and 12ft Semi Professional 4ft Single Depth Mounted Chain Harrows are supplied with easy folding wings for narrow access and transportation. The Semi Professional is recommended for small compact tractors because they are relatively light and easily manoeuvrable.

Professional 8ft (2x4ft) Double Depth Reversable Mounted Chain Harrow

Professional 8ft (2 x 4ft) Double Depth Mounted Chain Harrows come in 4ft, 6ft and 8ft widths and have a reversible A frame allowing passive or aggressive towing options. 

These frames are manufactured especially for Paul Helps Chain Harrows with a detachable A frame which enables you to easily tow in the opposite direction without the need to detach the mat from the frame and turn it around manually.

These frames have been manufactured to match our other range of paddock maintenance equipment - www.paddockequipment.co.uk - paddock rollers, paddock toppers, Mitsubishi compact tractors and transport boxes.

Professional 8ft (2x4ft) Double Depth Mounted Chain Harrows with Folding Wings

Our wider Professional 8ft (2 x 4ft) Double Depth Mounted Chain Harrows are available in 10ft, 12ft, 14ft, 16ft, 18ft and 20ft widths. These have a fixed A frame. The very largest ones, the 16ft, 18ft and 20ft wide harrows have the additional option of hydraulic folding wings.

Heavy duty 13mm tines on all mounted chain harrows with 3-way pulling action

We only use larger 13mm diameter tines as this results in an increase of almost 40% in the cross sectional area and adds valuable additional weight during harrowing.

The additional weight, thickness and the heavy duty strength of our 13mm tines is what maximises performance meaning that the harrowing job can be achieved quickly and efficiently saving time, fuel and also wear and tear. Thinner tines of 10mm / 11mm will not penetrate the ground as well as our heavier 13mm tines.

Our 13mm diameter tine mats are interchangeable with both our mounted chain harrows as well as our trailed harrows.

 

3-way Pulling Action

All our harrows also have a three way pulling action and this means you can choose the best harrowing option - passive, aggressive or upside down - to suit your ground conditions.

 

 

Chain Harrow Mats

4ft wide and 6ft wide chain harrows comprise of standard, single 4ft and 6ft wide, 4ft deep mats.

Mounted chain harrows with widths of 8ft - 20ft are available in multiples of 4ft and 6ft wide, 4ft deep mats. This means the chain harrow mats are extremely versatile, easy to upgrade at a later date, easier to handle and easier to attach to the mounted frame.

If you prefer a complete single mat of 8ft and over or specific multiple widths please just let us know.

E.g. A 12ft wide Semi Professional 4ft Single Depth Chain Harrow will be supplied in 3 x 4ft wide mats, if you prefer 2 x 6ft wide mats or 1 x 12ft wide mat, please indicate when ordering.

Please note that the same mats can be used on either the trailed harrows or our mounted chain harrows.
